Office Removals Company Warrington & Cheshire

If your business is relocating, Crown Removals plans and carries out office removals across Warrington, Cheshire and the North West with one aim: that your team walks into a working office on Monday morning. We move desks, storage, IT equipment and everything in between, and we plan each job around your working hours so the business is interrupted as little as possible.

Experienced Office Removals Warrington & Cheshire

We are an established office removals company serving businesses across Warrington and Cheshire, from sole traders moving out of a serviced office to companies relocating a hundred staff over a weekend. Our crews have moved accountants, solicitors, GP surgeries, schools, engineering firms, call centres and charities, and they know that no two offices pack the same way.

What stays the same is the standard. Furniture is wrapped and protected, IT is crated separately and handled with care, paperwork travels in sealed crates, and everything is unloaded to a floor plan so it goes straight to the right desk. The people who survey and quote your move are the people who manage it on the day, so nothing is lost between the office and the crew.

From our depot on Kerfoot Street in Warrington we move small offices, single floors and whole buildings, in town, across the county and further afield. Every move is surveyed, quoted at a fixed price and covered by Goods in Transit insurance. Call 01925 899 989 to arrange a site visit.

How We Plan an Office Move

An office move is planned before it is lifted. This is how a move with us runs.

1

Site survey

We visit your current office and, where possible, the new one. We look at access, lifts, parking, loading bays and anything that needs dismantling, and we ask about IT, confidential files and anything that needs special handling.

2

Fixed quote and move plan

You receive a written price for the whole job, along with a plan that sets out the date, the crew, the vehicles and the order the move will run in.

3

Crates and labels

Lidded crates and labels are delivered ahead of the move so staff can pack their own desks. We supply a colour coding system so every crate is marked for its new floor and desk number.

4

Moving weekend

Most offices move from Friday afternoon to Sunday. We protect floors and lifts, dismantle what needs dismantling, load by zone and unload to your floor plan. IT equipment travels last out and first in.

5

Set up and collection

Desks are reassembled, crates go onto the right desks, and the crew does a final walk round with you before leaving. Empty crates are collected a week or two later.

For a full week by week guide to preparing your business for the move, read our six week office move timeline.

Office Removals Cheshire: Business Areas We Cover

Warrington sits in the north of Cheshire with the M6, M56 and M62 on its doorstep, which puts almost every business area in the county within an hour of our depot. These are the areas we move offices in and out of most often.

Warrington

Birchwood Park, Omega, Centre Park, Gemini, Lingley Mere, Winwick Quay, Daresbury Park and the Sci-Tech Daresbury campus, plus the town centre and the business parks along the A49 and A56 towards Stockton Heath and Appleton.

West Cheshire

Chester city centre and Chester Business Park, Cheshire Oaks and Ellesmere Port, Frodsham, Helsby and Tarporley.

Mid Cheshire

Northwich and Gadbrook Park, Winsford Industrial Estate, Middlewich, Holmes Chapel and Sandbach.

East Cheshire

Knutsford, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Handforth, Macclesfield, Poynton and Congleton, including the business parks around Manchester Airport.

South Cheshire

Crewe, Nantwich and Alsager, including Crewe Business Park and the industrial estates around the station.

Halton and beyond

Runcorn, Widnes and the Mersey Gateway corridor, and office moves to and from Manchester, Liverpool, Lancashire and the rest of the North West.

If your business area is not named here, call us. We cover the whole county, and there is more on how we work across it on our removals in Cheshire page.

Planning an Office Move Across Cheshire

A move from one side of Cheshire to the other, or from Cheshire into Manchester or Liverpool, has a few extra steps that a move across town does not. We plan for all of them.

  • Access at both ends is surveyed separately. A city centre office in Chester with a timed loading bay and a business park unit in Crewe with a roller shutter need different vehicles and different timings. We do not assume one end looks like the other.
  • Travel time is built into the plan. The crew, the vehicles and the IT switchover are scheduled so that unloading starts when it should, not when the traffic allows.
  • Vehicles are sized for the roads. Older town centres and rural business premises can need a smaller vehicle for the last stretch, and that is arranged before the day.
  • Staggered moves are available. Where a business cannot close, departments move over several weekends, with a working office at both addresses in between.
  • Storage bridges the gap. If the new premises are not ready when the old lease ends, furniture, stock and files go into our secure storage in Warrington and come out when you are.

IT Equipment, Furniture Dismantling and Business Storage

The three parts of an office move that cause the most worry are the ones we are asked about most, so here is how we handle each.

IT and comms

Monitors, PCs, printers, phones and servers are disconnected after you have photographed and labelled the cabling, crated with padding and anti static wrapping, and moved last out and first in so your IT team can begin set up straight away. Server racks move whole on specialist trolleys where size and access allow, otherwise the equipment is crated and the rack rebuilt on site.

Dismantling and reassembly

Bench desks, tall storage, boardroom tables and glass screens rarely fit through doors or lifts whole. Our crews take them apart, bag and label every fixing, and rebuild them to your floor plan at the new office. See our dismantle and reassemble service for more.

Business storage

Surplus furniture, archive boxes, stock and equipment that will not be needed in the new office straight away can go into our storage units in Warrington, which are indoor, monitored around the clock and accessible seven days a week. The same crew handles the move and the storage, so nothing is unwrapped twice.

Office Removals: Questions Businesses Ask

How much notice do you need for an office move?

Four to six weeks is ideal. That leaves time for a site survey, a written quote, crate delivery and the booking of lifts and loading bays with your building managers. Fridays and month ends are booked first, so if your lease has a fixed end date, call as soon as you know it. Smaller offices can often be moved at shorter notice, so if your timescale is tight, ring us on 01925 899 989 and we will tell you what is possible.

Can you move our office over a weekend or in the evening?

Yes. Most of our office moves run from Friday afternoon to Sunday so the business reopens on Monday with no lost trading days. Evening moves and staggered moves over several weekends are also available for businesses that cannot close. We agree the timings with you and with the building managers at both ends before the day.

Is our IT equipment covered by your insurance?

Yes. Every move is covered by Goods in Transit insurance while your equipment is in our care, on the vehicle and in storage. We will confirm the cover limit when we quote so you can check it against the value of your IT. Servers, PCs and monitors are crated and wrapped separately from the furniture, and we recommend a full tested backup the day before the move as a matter of course.

Do you supply crates and packing materials?

Yes. Lidded plastic crates, labels and a colour coding system are delivered to your office before the move so staff can pack their own desks. Crates stack, keep paperwork flat and do not need tape, and they are collected once you have unpacked. If you would rather not pack at all, our packing team can pack the whole office or just the shared areas such as the kitchen, reception and archive.

Can you dismantle and rebuild our desks and storage?

Yes. Bench desks, tall storage units, boardroom tables and partition screens are dismantled by our crew, every fixing is bagged and labelled, and the furniture is rebuilt to your floor plan at the new office. This is part of our office removals service rather than an extra.

Can you move us between Cheshire and Manchester or Liverpool?

Yes. We regularly move businesses between Cheshire and Manchester, Liverpool, Lancashire and further afield. The same team surveys both buildings, plans the journey and handles both ends of the move. If the dates do not line up, your furniture and equipment can go into our secure storage in Warrington in between.

Get a Quote for Your Office Move

Tell us where you are moving from and to, roughly how many desks are involved and the date you are working towards, and we will arrange a site survey and give you a fixed price for the whole job. If you already have a quote from another firm, send it over and we will beat it like for like.
